Curcumin

Curcumin

Curcuma or turmeric is a medicinal and spice plant related to ginger that has been used in Indian cuisine as well as in medicine (Ayurveda) for at least 2000 years.

Because curcumin stimulates bile flow, it has traditionally been used to treat disorders of fat digestion and liver metabolism.

However, it has now been discovered that curcumin has strong antioxidant effects, specifically inhibits inflammation and can therefore help support various chronic diseases.
