Album-Carrier-Therapie

Albumin carrier therapy

What is albumin carrier therapy? It has been known for around 70 years that cancer cells feed on the protein albumin in addition to sugar. This gave rise to the idea of attaching chemotherapy drugs to the albumin molecule in order to bring them into the tumor cell. Albumin is therefore a so-called carrier, i.e. a vehicle that can transport substances into cells.

This method can improve the targeted delivery of drugs to cancer cells and optimize the effect of chemotherapy.
